Beet-meat patties
If somebody asked me what vegetable I am, I’d say, without hesitation, that I’m a beet. 😉
I love beets in any shape or form. Not only they are delicious, but it has also been proved that a beet is a powerful source of various components which are beneficial to our health.
Eating beets lowers blood pressure, reduces inflammation in the body, combats oxidative stress, as well as helps maintain endothelial function and restore normal cerebral blood flow regulation.
What’s more, studies prove that beet juice supplementation leads to an improvement in body function during physical activity, which directly translates into improved athletic performance.
This time I decided to treat those close to me to turkey beet-meat patties – although, I guess technically they could also be classified as rissoles. Anyway, no eggs and no coating allowed – can it be done? Sure it can!
I’d also like to add that this dinner was ready in 15 minutes :).
Beet-meat patties
Preparation:
First, I threw the minced meat into the bowl together with grated beets, spices, and a bit of olive oil. Next, I mixed them all thoroughly. Then, I started forming the mixture into patties. Afterwards, I placed them in a hot pan, where I had heated the fat, put the lid on, and fried for a few minutes on each side.
And it was ready!
