SUMMER CAMP 2016 IS HISTORY NOW

It was over in no time at all! No wonder, though – a lot has happened and it was pretty intense :).

A hundred of participants at various stages of their workout journey bravely faced up to three training sessions a day. We did a lot of running, also exercised hard with the following: dumbbells, balls, bands, rubbers, TRX, jump ropes, and weight plates.

The determination of the exercisers was quite a challenge for the entire Healthy Team: Katrin Kargbo, Jakub Głąb, Artur Żółkiewicz, and me. It was actually impossible to slow things down a bit even for a moment. I lost my voice, as usual, because I used it not only to conduct the training sessions, but also during lectures and consultations with my campers :).

The other speakers and lecturers were great: Dr. Patrycja Szachta of Vitaimmun, Łukasz Sieńczewski, and Jacek Kucharski familiarized the listeners with the topics important health-wise. What surprised everybody, including even me, was this great and poignant lecture on motivation Robert Lewandowski gave.

We drew strength and energy needed for training from meals prepared according to my instructions and recipes. When the camp was over, each participant also received a booklet with recipes for every day. Additionally, Foods by Ann’s products had their first appearance at the camp, and they were well received :).

We stared every day with a running-oriented warm-up. Running is not only about increasing the number of kilometers you cover, it is also about working on proper technique and coordination – we mainly trained those elements. One day, we were visited by the trainers from the Nike + Run Club, who conducted a special NRC training session with the campers.

Our weary muscles willingly surrender to the hands of the professional masseurs: Damian Pawlik and Marcin Kmita.

Each camp has its own theme and motto associated with it. During the winter’s edition, it was “BETTER ME.” This time, the main motto was: LEARN YOURSELF, LEARN OTHERS. Putting people in small 7-person cabins proved to have been the right decision as it promoted getting to know one another. We promised ourselves to learn and remember the names of all (100!) the campers. They struck up new friendships. Together we worked on self-confidence. There was a lot of touching situations and emotional, unforgettable moments. It was beautiful!

Thanks to everybody who worked on making this camp happen! And thanks to my campers for their energy, determination, and smiles!

See you next time!

And now it’s time for a little picture story by our very own Adam Mruk

Go Healthy Team!
