A Quick and Nutritious Snack – Smoothie

Beet, carrot, ginger, apple: 4 ingredients that boost our immune system and reduce inflammation symptoms 🙂 Inflammation is often an immune response to infections caused by viruses or bacteria, symptoms of a cold or the flu. The smoothie can be especially beneficial for people with rheumatoid arthritis as ginger has a strong anti-inflammatory effect. This drink will provide you with:

  • Potassium – carrots, beetroot and apple;
  • Vitamin A – carrot and beetroot;
  • Vitamin B6 – carrot;
  • Vitamin B9 (folic acid) – beetroot;
  • Vitamin C – apple.

 

Preparation:

I prepared carrot and beetroot juice using a slow juicer. I blended the juice with the apple and the grated ginger.
