Chocolate Millet Porridge with Pomegranate
I love chocolate breakfasts – they are not only a delicious start to the day, but also great mood boosters! This millet porridge is a real treat for the palate: velvety, sweet, with an intense chocolate flavour and crunchy pomegranate seeds that add a touch of freshness. What’s more, millet is very rich in nutrients, it’s easily digestible, gluten-free and full of health-supporting ingredients. And to top it off, a coconut drink enhances its delicate flavour. This is the perfect, warming breakfast for colder days!
Preparation:
Before cooking, I rinsed the millet once or twice under cold running water to remove any bitterness. Then I cooked it in coconut drink, according to the instructions on the package, until soft and creamy. I added coconut sugar and cocoa, then mixed thoroughly so that the ingredients combined evenly. I blended everything into a smooth, velvety mixture, then mixed in chopped dark chocolate, which slightly melted, giving the porridge a deep, chocolatey flavor. I transferred the mixture into a bowl and added pomegranate seeds on top, which added a bit of tartness and crunch to the whole thing.
