Athlete’s Breakfast or Healthy Bowl
Lyophilized spinach powder is essentially a concentrate which contains approximately 10 times the amount of vitamins and minerals found in fresh spinach, e.g. potassium, vitamin K, vitamin A, carotenoids, and many others. It is a source of magnesium, which has a big influence on the functioning of the nervous system, reduces susceptibility to stress and has calming properties. It also contains folate, especially recommended for pregnant women. Spinach leaves have anti-cancer properties and protect against atherosclerosis. This is due to beta-carotene, vitamin C and lutein which are antioxidants.
I also recommend lyophilized spinach to athletes. Today I’ve prepared a recipe for a healthy bowl with lyophilized spinach. It’s a perfect solution for an athlete’s breakfast.
Preparation:
I cooked oatmeal in water. Then I mixed it with dessicated coconut, flaxseed, coconut flour, spices and honey. I poured the yogurt into a bowl, added the oatmeal and decorated the dish with the remaining ingredients – sliced banana, Spinach Lio Shake, goji berries, sunflower seeds and chocolate. You can also add some protein powder, I recommend plant-based variety, e.g. rice or hemp.
