Fit Green Soup with Apple
We usually associate apples with sweet dishes. I’m not surprised, I love them in this version myself! You can find what one of my favorite sweet dishes with apples is HERE. However, we can also use apples in savory recipes and today I want to show you one of them – green vegetable soup with apple.
This unusual combination not only has an interesting taste, which I do encourage you to try, but it’s also a healthy and nutritious dish that will be great as a healthy snack for both children and adults. Especially if you’re looking for a way to sneak some Brussels sprouts into your meals 🙂
Preparation:
I peeled and sliced the carrot, cut the broccoli into florets, and put them along with Brussels sprouts into a pot. I covered the vegetables with water and cooked al dente. I fried the chopped onion in hot butter and then added it to the vegetables. I seasoned the soup and blended it until smooth. I poured it into bowls and topped with sunflower seeds, mint leaves, and apple slices.
