Natural Treatments to Get Rid of Cellulite

Fighting cellulite is not easy, and the effects will not be visible overnight. However, regularity brings long-term results. The most important factors in the fight against the orange-peel syndrome are, of course, a healthy diet and exercise.

In this post I have prepared for you a small summary of natural methods of fighting cellulite that you can follow 🙂

Diet and Physical Activity

It ‘s probably no surprise that I put this point in the first place. Regular activity promotes the flow of lymph and blood through the vessels, which prevents the formation of cellulite. In the Diet & Training by Ann app (HERE) you will find a special Cellulite Stop program in which I used two types of training: HIIT and strengthening workouts with your own body weight. When it comes to the diet, it is essential to avoid excess saturated fats, simple sugars and salt, i.e. the ingredients that can be found in large quantities primarily in highly processed products (sweets, fast food, salty snacks). You should make sure that your daily menu is rich in fresh fruit and vegetables which will additionally help to maintain an adequate level of hydration.

Hydration

Drinking water regularly (especially in hot weather) is essential! Remember that in the Diet & Training by Ann app (HERE) you will find the Hydration function which helps you to easily monitor the amount of water you drink. If you do it on a regular basis (even up to 3 liters a day), you will avoid swelling and it will have a positive effect on the overall appearance of the skin. Avoid carbonated drinks or juice that contain a lot of sugar. Get some water instead. It can also be water with various natural flavorings, like mint, lemon, orange, or cucumber.

Home Self Care Treatments

Coffee Peeling

It’s one of the easiest home treatments, which, thanks to the content of natural caffeine, is the basis for effective anti-cellulite care. All you need to do is mix half a cup of ground coffee beans with 1/3 cup of brown sugar and a few tablespoons of coconut oil to obtain a thick mixture. Massage the peeling with circular movements into the body parts with cellulite, then rinse it with lukewarm water. If you would like a less intensive treatment, an interesting solution will also be to combine coffee with a moisturizing body lotion and a few drops of cinnamon oil. It will make the consistency of the peeling more creamy and light. Why is coffee peeling so often recommended? It is because caffeine dilates blood vessels. What is more, the massage increases microcirculation, enhancing the obtained effects.

Dry Brushing

Dry brushing is an ideal way to improve microcirculation in the skin and exfoliate dead skin cells. It is not a relaxing massage and not everyone feels comfortable during it, but the effects are worth the effort. After a few treatments, however, the skin gets used to the stimulus. The method is important! Body massage is performed with circular movements, leading the brush from the bottom of the body (from the legs) upwards – in accordance with the natural flow of lymph in our body. You can find the body massage brush for example in my Phlov store (HERE). Particular attention should be paid to the area of the thighs, buttocks, and abdomen. People who are afraid of the brush can start with softer peeling gloves. Remember that if you have skin problems (e.g. such as broken capillaries), it is worth seeking specialist advice before you start brushing.

Cold Shower

Relax – you don’t have to take showers in ice cold water 🙂 One of the easiest ways to prevent and reduce cellulite is to use cold showers. In this way, you will stimulate circulation, which will also have a positive effect on the condition of the skin, and it will pleasantly refresh the whole body on hot days 🙂

Cellulite is a problem that, according to various sources, can affect up to 80% of women. It’s comforting to know that you are not alone in this unequal fight! A nutritious diet, proper hydration and skin care are natural ways that certainly cannot completely eliminate the problem. However, with consistent actions, you can reduce the appearance of cellulite and prevent it. And most importantly, all this will bring lots of benefits to the whole body, which should be an additional motivation for you to act! 🙂
