Let’s have pudding for dessert
Agar-agar is a gelling agent extracted from algae. In food industry agar is used as a thickener, a stabiliser and emulsifier. It is perfect for producing sweets, such as jellies and jams. It is also used to make milk drinks and salad dressing. Its advantage is lack of taste and smell and for this reason it is a great substitute for gelatine. I have been using agar-agar in my kitchen for a long time. That’s why today I would like to offer you a recipe for a delicious, agar-thickened pudding 🙂
Preparation:
I put coconut yoghurt in a small pot, added agar-agar, coconut sugar, vanilla and mixed while simmering for about 5 minutes. At the end I added raisins, poured the mixture into a glass and let it cool. I topped it with chocolate chips and refrigerated for 3 hours.
