Paleo Pancakes with Strawberry Jam and Apples

I guess it’s time to get in the mood for fall, what do you think? We are beginning to use summer flavors captured in jars. I always prepare fruit jams while the season lasts when we can enjoy fresh, local produce. These homemade preserves are so useful when the choice is not that big. If you’ve skipped the preserve season – no worries, you can always try to prepare jam using frozen fruit 🙂

 

Preparation:

I blended the pancake ingredients. Then I fried pancakes on hot clarified butter. I defrosted the strawberries, washed them and cut into halves (depending on their size), added the sugar and stewed with the lid on adding a bit of water. Once the jam was ready, I transferred it into a jar. I served the pancakes with the jam and apples.
