Power Balls with Strawberry

I guess most of us associate Sunday with rest, family time, and some sweet snack for dessert. That’s why I have a recipe for yummy strawberry power balls just for you 🙂 

They’re not only a great alternative to classic sweets, they will also strengthen your immune system! Today a few words about millet, a valuable product in our Boost Your Health! challenge menu. 

Millet has been considered one of the healthiest groats for centuries. We can use it both for sweet and savory dishes. It contains a lot of easily digestible protein and the highest content of B vitamins as well as iron and copper. In addition, it does not contain gluten, therefore it is safe for people who suffer from celiac disease and are hypersensitive to gluten. It has antiviral compounds and substances that reduce inflammation of the mucous membranes.

Remember that a balanced diet is the basis of your health and well-being. Rewarding yourself and your loved ones with valuable snacks is definitely a better solution than choosing ready-made sweets or snacks.

You can invite your whole family to prepare the power balls. It will be great fun and a lesson in healthy diet as well.  🙂

 

Preparation:

I cooked the groats in coconut milk and water. I soaked the dates in hot water. I added the dates and honey to the groats, blended all these ingredients and formed balls. Then I rolled them in Strawberry Lio Shake and desiccated coconut.
