Roasted Beets with Pears and Garlic
The run-up of Christmas preparations is ahead of us. Is your menu ready? If not, then I have one more idea for a savoury side dish to go with your Christmas meals. The recipe is perfect for beetroot lovers. This time I combined it with pears. You must let me know what you think about it!
A hint: the recipe is great as a side dish to roasts 🙂
Preparation:
I baked beets with the skin on at 180°C for about 45 minutes. Then I peeled and sliced them. I peeled the pear, cut it into small pieces and added to the beets. Then I baked them together at 180°C for about 15 minutes. I mixed the olive oil with pressed garlic, balsamic vinegar, honey and seasoned to taste. I poured the dressing over the beets and at the end sprinkled them with almond flakes.
