Salmon & Avocado Tartar Steak

We usually associate steak tartare only with beef. How about a tender salmon tartare with a creamy avocado sauce? Remember that if you use raw meat and fish, you need to make sure it’s super fresh and store it properly. Oily sea fish (which includes salmon) are the best source of omega-3 fatty acids, which support the health of our brain and circulatory system, so reach for them as often as possible 🙂

 

Preparation:

I cut the salmon into fine cubes. Then I mixed the mustard with olive oil, half the lime juice, capers, salt and pepper, then added the salmon. I mixed it all together and put it in the fridge for a while. Next, I blended the avocado flesh with the rest of the lime juice, added the soy sauce, and some salt and pepper.

I arranged the tartare on a plate, served it with the avocado sauce, capers, and bread.
