Texas-Style Beef with Colored Rice and Cilantro

You know how important nutrition is for me. I make sure that the dishes are not only healthy and tasty, but also… look beautiful on the plate. Remember that “we eat with our eyes first”! For this reason, I try to make the meals colorful, to not only please the taste buds but also the eyes. Sometimes a pinch of fresh herbs is enough to make your meal look even more appetizing 🙂

 

Preparation:

I heated the ghee in a frying pan and browned the meat. Next I added chopped onion, pressed garlic, and spices. I fried it all for about 2 minutes, then added the beans, diced pepper and stewed the dish until the pepper was tender. I poured in the tomatoes, added a few tablespoons of water, brought it to a boil and stewed for about 5 minutes. Finally, I added a bit of grated chocolate and seasoned it to taste.

I served the dish with a mixture of cooked parboiled and red rice and topped it off with chopped cilantro and sprouts🙂
