September for the frustrated

Still this blog is read by couch potatoes and computer freaks behind their desks who really want to be healthier, active and eat healthily.

They spend lots of time sitting not because of their choice or laziness. Surfing the Internet they see incentives, metamorphoses, motivating texts, diet samples. Each stimulus causes a reaction, even for several seconds.
I should!
I have to!
I’ll start from tomorrow!

On computer screens and tables on the walls there are motivating pictures and sentences. Some of them already yellowish. The frustrated look at them but they don’t see incentives any more. They only see colourful evidence that others succeeded, but they don’t. They are feeling worse and worse. They fall into the trap of guilt and lose faith in themselves. Eating healthy food is not a problem, especially in the summer. Though it’s difficult not to be tempted. But the word “workout” evokes unpleasant shivers. And yet they want to be healthy, fit and cheerful.

My Dear Frustrated Reader, to sum up: if you want a change for the better and healthier, but current measures do not work, advice for you is:

Do not change your lifestyle by force, change your approach to life.

To begin with, ease up all the ‘musts’ that made you frustrated. Stop thinking of what you eat or exercise. Do not think about it now. The time you used to spend with no effects on thinking about how others manage, spend on other things.

What things? DIFFERENT. Come out to people, look for other pastimes, sing, draw, photograph, tour your town, join drumming workshops or a film club. Look around you. Move away from your computer. Perhaps you’ll find some time for voluntary work at an animal shelter? There are so many things to do!

You need to find new energy sources! Opening to the world will help you pull yourself together, believe in yourself.

And when you charge your batteries and heal your soul, there will be time for your body 🙂
