Blood Detox

I hope you love beets as much as I do. 🙂 If you don’t, I’ll try to convince you. Especially because they are a versatile ingredient that you can use to  create lots of delicious meals, but also because they are a great source of vitamins and nutrients. They are root vegetables, so it is worth reaching for them also in winter.

Beets are a great source of potassium, calcium, phosphorus and magnesium. They also contain vitamin C, an essential antioxidant for the skin. In addition to vitamin C, beet dyes – betalains – will have a positive effect not only on the skin, but also on your general health.

If I haven’t convinced you yet, maybe the recipe I prepared for you will. It’s a quick and delicious snack that you can take with you to work or school. Who’s going to try it? 🙂

 

Preparation:

I grated the ginger and carrots and then blended all the ingredients. Yes, it’s that simple! Of course, if you prefer, you can add more water for a more liquid consistency.
