Home-made apple jam – so easy but you keep looking for recipes

It’s time for home-made preserves in my home 🙂 They’re really useful, especially when winter comes and the range of fruit available in our shops is not that wide. Since we have plenty of apples now, and they’re a real Polish delight, today I decided to prepare some apple jam. Apples are not only delicious but also have lots of health benefits. You can read more about their properties HERE.

Preparation

I washed the apples, peeled and cored them. Then I sliced them thinly and stewed them with the lid on in a frying pan (you can also use a saucepan), adding a bit of water from time  to time (about ½ a cup or more, it depends on the cooker and the pans – I’ve tried it :)) Then I stirred in the cinnamon and cloves. Don’t forget to stir the apples while cooking! I smashed any larger pieces of apples with a fork. At the very end I sprinkled it with lemon jam, stirred again and  when the jam was ready I ladled it into jars.
