Prawns with chili and garlic

Prawns with chili, garlic and rice oil.

Today something for seafood lovers, so we will find a tiger prawns on the plate. Prawns are the most popular type of shellfish we can find in the kitchen, so it is sometimes worth to add it into your menu. In addition to an excellent taste, we provide our body with a portion of high-quality protein and B vitamins.

Why did I add rice oil to the recipe?

I mainly use it for frying because of the high smoke temperature (about 250 ° C). Food prepared on rice oil are cooking faster and are losing less nutritional value. In addition, this oil has low absorption by the food and preserves the taste.

Ingredients:

  • around 200 g of tiger prawns (before cooking)
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • chili peppers
  • rice oil or ghee butter
  • pinch of sea salt and black pepper
  • parsley (half a handful)
  • few leaves of fresh coriander

Preparation:

Wash the prawns, add salt and set aside.  During this time silce garlic and finely chop chilli. Heat the rice oil in the pan and add the garlic and chili. Take a moment to fry and add prawns. Fry the prawns in a pan on a medium heat for about 4 minutes on each side. Season with salt and pepper and finally add chopped parsley and fresh coriander.
