Love Yourself

It is said that love is one of the most powerful feelings. We often think of it in the context of the feelings we have for the other person, especially now – when Valentine’s Day is just around the corner. I like this holiday very much because it reminds me that my loved ones are the most important to me: my husband, little daughters, the rest of my family, and friends. However, we should also remember about love for one more important person … yourself! <3

The path to self-acceptance

You know perfectly well that my mission is to promote an active and healthy lifestyle. In this way, I take care not only of my body, but also of my inner self. Daily physical activity gives me joy and drives me to act. Despite this, I myself used to have complexes for a long time: about my appearance, fixed habits, and behaviors. But now I am aware that this is absolutely normal!

We all have qualities that we like about ourselves more and those we like a bit less. We can work on some of them but some aspects cannot be changed and you just have to accept them. I understand it today, but the road to this place was not easy! I wrote more about what helps in this process HERE.

Appreciate the small things

Each day brings new challenges. We face them at work, at home, at the university… It’s important to appreciate your daily efforts and notice your strengths. Some things are easier for us, other duties require more commitment, but regardless – it’s good to say to yourself from time to time: “Bravo! Great job, you did it! You’re really good at it! ”. We all have a talent, some just haven’t discovered it yet or still can’t see it.

Take a few minutes to consider what you love about yourself. It can be an aspect of appearance (e.g. beautiful hair, nails, or eyelashes), but also a trait of character (diligence, responsibility, sensitivity) or any skill you have. It can be a good practice to see at least one thing you like about yourself every day. You will see that it will become easier and easier to notice them over time

LOVE YOURSELF!

This is my appeal and request to you today, even if you do not celebrate Valentine’s Day. Self-love is one of the most difficult types of love but it is worth fighting for as this way we grow stronger and nothing can destroy our foundation, i.e. our self-esteem.
