Salted Date Caramel Cream for Christmas

Salted caramel has been hands down number one for the past few months. I haven’t met anyone who would just ignore the taste 🙂 Did you know that you can actually recreate this heavenly flavor within the confines of your own kitchen? The extra bonus is that the spread is vegan and this time it comes in a modified, Christmas version 🙂 How can you use it? It’s totally up to you: pancakes, oatmeal, millet porridge, cakes… Let me know what your ideas are!

 

Preparation:

I soaked the dates in water and cooked them in a saucepan for a few minutes. Then I added the remaining ingredients (apart from salt, vanilla, and spice mix) and cooked for a few minutes more. I blended the mixture and at the end stirred in the salt and vanilla. I put the spread into a jar.
