Roasted Asparagus & ham rolls
I’ve already written on why having a high-fat, high-protein breakfast is a good idea. HERE
In fact, I have also covered the properties of asparagus many times. It’s probably easy to see that this is one of my favorite vegetables :). Unfortunately the asparagus season is a quite short one and will soon come to an end. Therefore I suggest that the late-comers quickly catch up and make use of the last moments when we can still find them at market stalls. What I have prepared for you today is a quick and easy recipe for roasted asparagus and ham rolls. In it, I’ve used thin slices of Parma ham, though I guess you can also roast asparagus wrapped in other lean cold cuts of good quality (!).
Preparation:
First, I heated the oven up to 200 ° C. Next, I cut off the woody tips of asparagus. Then, each asparagus was wrapped in half a slice of ham and placed on a roasting tin which had been covered earlier with baking paper. After having seasoned it and sprinkled with olive oil (it’s best to use a special brush for coating), I roasted it for 10-12 minutes. Finally, I laid it out on a plate and poured balsamic sauce over it.
