You, changes and the rest of the world

You want to take a step forward, you want to change something, you want to try something new. But you can’t.

There are some mental blocks that seem unbeatable. You are limited by the fear of how others will receive your attempts to change. You imagine how they’re criticizing you or simply laughing at your efforts. You are staying in place and your dreams are filling the shelves.

I have some sentences from people who coped with their fears and threw them into space.

  1. People who are criticizing you are not worth your time. Such people are criticizing you to feel better due to their poor self-esteem.
  2. When someone treats your first attempts with a smile, smile with him! Everyone who starts can’t manage at first. Sometimes it looks funny really, but we all have to go through this unwanted stage of a beginner. A distance to yourself and smiling makes it always easier!
  3. Don’t be afraid to ask about everything. Unfortunately, there is one type of people who love to say: “Oh, you haven’t read that yet, have you?” or “No kidding – don’t you know it?”. If you hear something like that, respond with calmness: “I haven’t read it, but I ‘m sure I’ll like to read it soon.” or (with a smile) “Actually, I haven’t known it yet, but I would really like to get to know more about it and I’ve heard that you can help me with it.” There’s no better response to biting remarks than calmness and smiling – that’s proven! In this way you will feel disarmed and is ready to help :).
  4. Try to gain support from someone in your family or from your mates or colleagues. And you support them.

If you find out that something doesn’t work out or is not for you, enjoy this valuable experience and move on.

Give yourself chances!
