Vanilla & Carrot Oatmeal. Yummy!
Today I would like to recommend a vanilla oatmeal with a carrot for breakfast. I also used in the recipe some nuts, chia seeds, cinnamon and honey. These extras, apart from enriching the taste of the porridge, also improve its nutritional value. Both chia seeds and nuts are a good source of omega-3 acids. They also provide proteins, fiber, a variety of vitamins and minerals. Cinnamon and honey have antibacterial properties and are a good source of antioxidants. The oatmeal is not only tasty but also warming and stimulates our body to fight infections or a cold. As you can see, it’s a perfect solution for frosty winter mornings.
Preparation:
I soaked the oat flakes in plant milk overnight. In the morning I poured in the water and cooked it over medium heat. Then I peeled and grated the carrot. I stirred in chopped dates, chia seeds, spices and ¾ of the carrot. I cooked everything and in the end I mixed in crushed nuts, honey and the rest of the carrot.
