Beet Smoothie
A smoothie with dates is my way of getting a quick energy boost and something that’s both sweet and healthy. I love it for its simplicity and the fact that it always tastes great, regardless of what’s currently available in my kitchen. Dates are natural sweet goodies packed with fiber, magnesium, and potassium. Therefore, they perfectly suit my breakfast recipes or I have them as a snack during the day. You can prepare this smoothie in no time at all, and the effect always delights me. What’s more, I can easily modify it: sometimes it is creamier, other times light and refreshing. This is a recipe that I always come back to when I feel like something yummy and simple at the same time.
Preparation:
I soaked the dates in boiling water and put them aside for about 15 minutes to soften. Then I blended all the ingredients thoroughly until smooth and creamy. When it was a bit too thick, I added a little water, gradually adjusting the amount to the desired texture. I poured the smoothie into my favorite glass and immediately enjoyed its taste.
