A RED ONION CHUTNEY – PURE SWEETNESS!
Chutney – what is it exactly? It’s a stodgy, Indian sauce.
It’s an addition to many meals, and it’s prepared from vegetables and fruit. It is made differently depending on the region.
Let me present: a sweet, red onion chutney 🙂
Peel the onion. Do it in a bowl with water – you’ll avoid crying (you can also do it in googles :D). Cut it in slices. Simmer it in a saucepan. Add spices, then honey. Make sure it doesn’t burn (it will become bitter). At the end, add cranberries and simmer for a little while longer. Put it into little jars.
It can be eaten with bread or Christmas dumplings.
We ate one jar immediately – it was a dessert before dinner 🙂
