I like to experiment and to surprise my guests with new flavors. On my table you can find traditional dishes in a healthy version, but often Im also adding  “something” innovative 🙂 This time, banana bread with a touch of christmas – spicy seasonings that first come to mind when we think about winter flavors. They give our dishes a unique flavor and taste.

What spices can we add to this group?

cloves,cinnamon,cardamon,vanilla,turmeric,nutmeg,saffron

Banana bread with a bit of Christmas flavour

If you can, you might add nuts, like hazelnuts or walnuts 🙂

Preparation:

Peel the bananas, leave half of one banana for decoration, and mash the rest with a fork.

Mix dry ingredients and add bananas, eggs, coconut flour and maple syrup. Mix well, and pour the batter into the pan, lined with baking paper. Place chopped banana on top and sprinkle lightly with cinnamon and vanilla.

Bake for about an hour at 180 degrees. In the meantime, check the dough with  wooden stick too see if its ready (if the dough will stick  it means that it is still too wet and it need more time)

Wait for it to cool down. You can eat it with nutella 🙂
