A time to eat mulberry

Mulberry travelled here from China. Missionaries, who were interested in silk production, brought it with them. However, healing properties of mulberry were discovered much later, though, the Chinese had been using its healing properties for thousands of years.

It is not easy to find mulberry in nature here in Poland these days. It was fairly popular several dozen years ago. We can change it through propagating knowledge about benefits of this plant. Mulberry is not difficult to grow and can look perfect in every garden. May and June are ideal for collecting leaves of white mulberry (only this variety can be found in our country). If you know a place where you can find mulberry leaves (far from pollution of course), collect some and take advantage of them at home.

Mulberry tea helps to lose weight! Yes, its components regulate your blood sugar level, limit absorbing of carbohydrates, reduce the level of “bad” cholesterol. It is recommended for diabetics, allergy sufferers and people with nervous system complaints. You can buy ready-made dried mulberry leaves, so in case there are no mulberry trees around, use them instead. Children like mulberry fruit very much. Fresh and dried are tasty and excellent as a snack.
