New year – resolutions and motivation

Yesterday, the clock struck a special midnight of the year;). We have entered a new year, and you are enthusiastic about implementing the New Year’s resolutions. Everything goes smoothly, you feel satisfaction from small – GREAT achievements until you encounter the first obstacles … the banquet at work, the unplanned visit of a friend and the entire exercise schedule, the extra calories  appear and you cancel your English lesson.
You will let go once, twice and … then it’s hard to motivate and start all over again.

Head’s up!
Remember that mistakes indicate that you are doing something and working on yourself. Give yourself time and let these mistakes happen.

Do you have difficulty in persevering in reaching your goals?

Do not blame yourself, because the vast majority of people just like you give up halfway to the goal. According to research carried out at the University of Scranton, up to 90% of New Year’s resolutions are forgoten after half a year.

So how do you find yourself in these 10% and finally implement your plans?

I will share best practices with you!

Planning is the key skills needed in every sphere of professional and personal life. Without special awareness and commitment, we plan our days starting with small matters.

Seemingly, this is not a significant matter, but it really depends on our well-being and health.

It may seem that we do not have to plan every step and just know what we want to achieve in a few years. Yes, but remember that a bad plan and lack of motivation are like a punctured tire – we will not get far with it!

If you dream about a journey into space in the company of your favorite Hollywood star, I sincerely wish you that, but remember that it is a very difficult goal to accomplish. Much more satisfaction can be achieved by the reachable goal.

That is why:

Get rid of the barriers and concentrate on ambitious but real goals. Remember that if the task is too complex and requires many dynamic changes, you can be discouraged quickly.

Plan small steps on the way to the goal so that you can watch your progress and not lose faith in your success and self-confidence. Sometimes it’s worth starting with building a vision of the achieved goal and writing out the stages from the end to now. Well,it will be good to take  the first step today.

Measuring goals is an excellent motivation. If you want to lose weight, check your weight once a week and record the results. If you are learning a foreign language, test new skills based on tests.

Collect resource and learn how to use them. Everyone you meet in your way can be inspiration and support!

Change “I plan” to “I will do”, and from now on, you are on the way to achieving a success!

A good plan is a great support for your motivation. If you review all stages of reaching a goal step by step, it will be much easier for you to overcome further difficulties with consistency.

Believe in your dreams … and save them! Each of us has a mission and a vision of ourselves. We dream about the future of our and our loved ones … Can they be our goal? As far as they are measurable and real, yes!

How to do it?

  • Specify your plan and individual stages of its implementation
  • Specify the next steps and practical steps needed to achieve it.
  • Design activities for the next year based on good habits
  • Build a self-confident “I”
  • Open your mind and get rid of your limitations
  • Get ready for changes!

List the main areas you want to work on. Let me just remind you, because I wrote about it before the new year

Health – I will eat healthier

Partner relationship – I will take care of contacts with my wife / husband

Career – I will be promoted to a higher position

Appearance – I will take care of my body / hair, lose weight / gain weight

Habits – eg I will take care of a better quality of sleep, I will only have healthy snacks in my purse

Restrictions – I will get rid of bad habits

Personal development – I will sign up for additional training

I have been testing NEW YEAR resolutions for years.

I save them, look into them, plan and act. At the end of the year I always summarize what I managed to accomplish!

I’m keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Once again, Happy New Year!
