From where did i get the idea to write this post?
You have encouraged me by sending emails with your thoughts on persistence during diet. Lots of you write that you can do it only till the first donuts that brakes your strong will.
After such an “incident,” most of you are discouraged and you abandon the plan to reach your intended destination almost at the start. Why is this happening?
Is there any advice for this? Sure!
First of all, before you decide to change your eating habits for a healthier ones, you should realize that the new diet should not be a renunciation – if we think so, then surely after the end of the diet, we will return to our old eating habits (thus by giving ourselves a few months of sacrifices) and again we will gain weight. Diet is a change of your eating habits, and good habits developed during weight loss must also accompany us after achieving the desired effect.
Secondly, it is important to assume that the desire for sweets is completely natural for everyone. I’ve been writing about it here. There are various factors, such as fluctuations in blood sugar or the presence of yeast or the fungus that lives in the body of every person, drawing on energy from sugars and carbohydrates. It is not about completely eliminating the desire to reach for something sweet, but to choose wisely.
Thirdly, you must remember that excessive consumption of sweets has a real negative impact on health. Causing numerous metabolic disorders, among others. to develop extra weight, obesity, insulin resistance or type II diabetes, as well as overgrowth of the previously mentioned candida.
Fourth, as I mentioned earlier, you have to learn to make good choices. A change of chocolate bar for a sweet and self-made snack will bring not only the satisfaction of feeding your sweet tooth , but also the satisfaction of self-preparation of the snack. You will then be fully aware of what is in the sweetest meal – you will avoid unnecessary additives such as glucose-fructose syrup, palm fats, artificial flavors and colors, or preservatives. Today I have prepared for you some recipes for healthy sweets, which you will find also in Diet by Ann. They are very simple and do not take much time. Pudding or sweet banana mousse will work well as a snack ”to go”, and crunchy cookies or healthy power balls will be a perfect snack for ladies night.
ALMOND CHIA PUDDING WITH POMEGRANATE
Ingredients:
Chia seeds – 2 tablespoons, 20g
coconut milk (drink) -1 cup, 250ml
Almond butter – 1 tablespoon, 20g
Pomegranate – ¼ piece, 55g
dried dates- 3 pieces, 15g
pinch of cinnamon
A method of preparing:
Soak the dates in boiling water and leave for 10-15 minutes.
Blend the dates with almond butter, cinnamon and milk. Add chia seeds and mix thoroughly.
Leave overnight in the refrigerator. Finish pudding with pomegranate seeds.
SWEET BEETROOT MOUSSE
Ingredients:
dried dates – 2 pieces, 10g
Boiled Beetroots – ⅓ art, 40g
dried plums – 2 pieces, 14g
dark chocolate 90% – 2 cubes, 12g
dark cocoa powder – 1 tablespoon, 10g
Coconut flakes – 1 tablespoon, 6g
fresh orange zest – ½ teaspoon, 4,5g
pinch of cinnamon
pinch of chili
pomegranate for sprinkling
A method of preparing:
Soak the dates and plums in boiling water and leave for 15 minutes.
Dissolve the chocolate in the water bath.
Cut the cooked beet into pieces and blend it together with dates and plums, dissolved chocolate and other ingredients.
Place in the fridge for half an hour.
AMARANTH COOKIES
Components:
Small chicken eggs, size S – 1 piece, 50g
dried raisins – 1 tablespoon, 15g
Amaranth – ⅔ glasses, 20g
Coconut flakes – 1 tablespoon, 6g
dark cocoa powder – 1 teaspoon, 5g
Extra virgin coconut oil – ½ teaspoon, 7.5g
A method of preparing:
Soak the raisins in the boiling water for 15 minutes.
Blend an egg with raisins, cocoa and oil.
Add amaranth, coconut flakes and mix.
Place the baking paper on the baking mold , form a ball from the batter and slightly “flatten” in the shape of cookie.
Bake in the oven at 180 ° C for about 15 minutes.
COCONUT POWER BALLS
Ingredients:
millet – ⅓ cups, 60g
dried dates – 2 pieces, 10g
Honey – 1 teaspoon, 12g
Coconut flakes – 1 ½ tablespoons, 9g
Strawberry Lio Shake – 1 teaspoon, 2g
A method of preparing:
Cook the millet according to the recipe on the package, add the dates at the end of cooking.
Blend it, then add the honey and half of coconut flakes and mix.
Form balls and rollit in the remaining coconut flakes. You can also add Lio Shake with strawberry flavor.
Chocolate-coconut pudding
Ingredients:
almond milk – ½ cup, 120ml
dark cocoa powder – 1 teaspoon, 5g
Coconut flakes – 1 ½ tablespoons, 9g
Coconut flour – 1 ½ tbsp, 19.5g
dark chocolate 90% – 2 dice, 12g
syrup from dates – 1 teaspoon, 8ml
pinch of cinnamon
pinch of cardamom
A method of preparing:
Mix almond milk with cocoa powder, coconut flakes and coconut flour, cook in a pot.
Stir all the time with a spoon, and when it will be thick, remove from the heat.
Mix with grated chocolate, date syrup and spices.
BANANA – RASPBERRIES ICE CREAMS
Ingredients:
frozen raspberries – 100g
banana – ½ piece, 100g
Coconut milk – 2 tablespoons, 20ml
Coconut flakes- 1 tablespoon, 6g
Vanilla extract – ¼ teaspoon, 1g
A method of preparing:
Slice the banana and place it in the freezer overnight.
Blend the frutis with coconut milk, vanilla extract and place it again in the freezer.
Transfer to the serving cup, sprinkle with coconut flakes.
I am sure that if you prepare one of the above recipes, you will find that diet without sacrifices is possible. Apparently, changing a candy bar or chocolate to a healthier version of sweets is time consuming, and as a result, it does not satisfy the desire for sweets anyway. Nothing more wrong!
