How to Choose the Right Workout Shoes

If you want to get the maximum benefits and pleasure from training, you need footwear that is not only comfortable, but also matches your physical activity. I have created such a shoe in cooperation with 4F. It is perfectly adapted to my favorite workouts and today I am happy to show it off!

Why are Shoes Important?

The human foot is an extremely complex structure – it consists of 26 bones, 21 muscles, 33 joints and over 100 tendons! Its task is to keep the body upright and absorb shocks, and the work of muscles and the skeletal system depends on its efficiency. The way we put our feet affects the work of our joints and spine. Appropriate footwear helps to avoid overloading and injuries, and will also make exercise easier and more comfortable. For people who are just starting their adventure with training with me, let me remind you that everyday sports shoes are not suitable for training. Sneakers or canvas shoes that we wear every day are not appropriate for fitness or the gym, and even more so for running!

What to Consider When Choosing Workout Shoes

The designed model is a lightweight footwear that is ideal for high-intensity interval training (so-called HIIT) and cardio. It is exactly what you will find in my application and what I train myself every day.

  • Lightness – the sole made of extremely flexible foam (LiquidFoam) absorbs and gives back energy during exercise, adding elasticity and lightness to your movements and guarantees dynamic cushioning. The more energy you put into your training, the more you get back!
  • Traction – a rubber sole with a multi-directional tread ensures grip during dynamic movements so that the foot does not slip on the floor.
  • Stabilization – crucial for intense and energetic movements, affecting the correct posture and minimizing the risk of injuries. A special plate (TPU) prevents unwanted heel movements to the side, both during all kinds of jumps and when working with kettlebells or dumbbells.
  • Comfort and fit – ensured by a molded Ortholite HybridPlus insole and a flexible and breathable upper that adapts to the shape of the foot, providing additional stability.

All these features make my model perfect for intense fitness and cardio training.

Karate is Practiced Barefoot, but…

As you know, karate will always be close to my heart and I am very happy that 4F thought about making a reference to the discipline in the design of the shoe. The elastic band that surrounds the midfoot is designed to ensure a better fit of the shoe to the foot, but from the visual point of view it reminds of the karate belt. Cool, don’t you think? 🙂

Finally, I will add one more thing, not necessarily crucial from the point of view of training, but quite important from the point of view of … a woman. The minimalist, universal design of my shoes makes them match any outfit! 🙂

How about a workout?
