Yummy Waffles

What comes to your mind when you hear the word ‘waffles’? For many people it’s a must while on summer holidays. And of course they usually come with whipped cream and chocolate glaze 🙂 Remember that lots of meals that are available in cafes or restaurants are easy to make and you can prepare them yourself. So I took up the challenge of making a healthier version of waffles that we all love so much. You can even have them for breakfast with no remorse, and you can use the recipe throughout the year, just changing the toppings! I have to admit they are simply delicious! 🙂

 

Preparation:

I separated the yolks from the egg whites. Then I whipped the whites with maple syrup (you can also replace it with coconut sugar). I added all the other ingredients to them and gently combined until the batter was smooth. I greased the waffle iron with coconut oil and fried the waffles. I served them with coconut paste and forest fruit.
