Want Beautiful Skin? Try Probiotics!

We all love to look beautiful and healthy, radiant skin is the basis for a good look. So you invest in the best cosmetics, try supplements which are supposed to make your skin glow, you drink lots of water, take care of the right amount of sleep and regeneration. And despite all your actions, the condition of your skin often leaves much to be desired … If your skin problems persist in spite of proper care and the cause is difficult to determine, it may be time to take a closer look inside your … intestine. 

 

Intestinal microflora and skin appearance

Why is a healthy digestive tract so important for healthy skin? There are at least several reasons. Remember that digestive and absorption processes necessary to nourish every cell of your body take place in the digestive tract. Therefore, a proper diet is the basis of good appearance, and people suffering from atopic dermatitis, acne, pruritus or other dermatological problems often report that their skin improves when they change their eating habits.

So how do you do that? The first step is to ensure that your daily diet is SIMPLY HEALTHY. Try to eliminate highly processed products, sugar, fast food and alcohol from it. Take care of the right amount of vegetables and fruits, supply the right amount of vegetable fats in your diet, choose whole grain bread. Make sure that the products you eat have the simplest possible composition, take care of proper hydration every day.

 

Allergy or food intolerance

If changing your eating habits doesn’t improve your skin, then maybe the problem is more complex. In patients with atopic dermatitis, the cause of the condition may be a food allergy so you should consult an allergist and do appropriate tests. On the other hand, if allergy tests for food allergy (so-called IgE-dependent, type 1) do not show the cause of the problem, you might want to try tests for latent food hypersensitivity IgA and IgG-dependent, commonly known as food intolerances. They show whether certain foods are sensitize us in a delayed mechanism. Due to the fact that this type of food hypersensitivity can only give symptoms within a few days after eating a meal (e.g. in the form of worse skin condition), it is sometimes simply impossible to identify badly tolerated foods.

 

Additional support

Adequate nutritional management should be accompanied by regeneration of the intestinal epithelium. Remember that it guarantees proper absorption of nutrients. So, if you make sure that your diet is varied and optimally balanced, but the gastrointestinal epithelium is in poor condition, some of the substance will simply “escape” from your body. A good solution is to combine proper nutrition with proper supplementation, for example with probiotics.

Probiotics support the intestinal microflora and when it is healthy it  produces short chain fatty acids (such as butyric acid) and other metabolites necessary for regeneration of the intestinal epithelium. Thanks to this, it is possible to improve the absorption of nutrients from the diet and you’re only a step away from beautiful, healthy glowing skin! 🙂
