Power balls with nuts and sesame

Tahini  Sesame paste, as we can know by its name is produced from sesame seeds. I like to add it to the dishes because it adds a unique flavor to ordinary meals. In the colder months, it is worth to buy a jar of tahini because it is a healthy fat that contains calcium, magnesium, potassium or iron.

Tahini It is a source of proteins, vitamins and amino acids, which adds strength and energy. It also helps the liver and the nervous system as well as digestive system. Ideal for Middle Eastern cuisine (ex hummus, halvah or bars), you can use it as an addition to grilled vegetables and meat, and as bread spread.

Today we have new version of POWER BALLS 🙂

Ingredients: (around 15 balls, depending on the size)

  • 60g sunflower seeds
  • 60 g pumpkin
  • 50 g walnuts
  • 60 ml coconut oil
  • 100-110 g tahini
  • 60 g coconut flour
  • 10 Medjool dates
  • handful of cranberries
  • pinch of sea salt
  • 80-90 ml hot water

optional: lio shake of your choice or coconut sugar, to sprinkle

Preparation:

Soak the dates for about 15 minutes. Place  the following ingredients in the food processor: dates (blend at slow speed), then add nuts – again blend and finally add the other ingredients. Check to see if the mass is starting to stick, then gently pour the boiling water, stir until it will be even more sticky. Form the balls and place in the freezer for about 1 hour. Tip: It is best to store the balls in the refrigerator.
