Protein Bars
I believe that I do not need to remind you that protein is a crucial macronutrient in the diet (you can read more about its role on my blog HERE). If you lead an active lifestyle and work out on a regular basis, pay special attention to this ingredient, because your protein requirements may be higher (it will depend mainly on the type of activity and its intensity). Sometimes it can be difficult to consume the recommended amount, especially if your requirements are high, so it’s a good idea to add protein not only to your main meals, but also snacks and desserts. Today I have a recipe for homemade protein bars that you can prepare in larger quantities and store in the freezer ?
Preparation:
I thoroughly mixed the almond spread, rice drink, cocoa, blend and chopped nuts. I transferred the mixture into a flat container and put it in the freezer for about an hour. In the meantime I melted the chocolate in water bath. Then I cut the cooled mixture into pieces, drizzled the melted chocolate over them and put them back in the freezer for about 15 minutes. Ready! I store the bars in the freezer ?
