Breakfast – the Most Important Meal of the Day

Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. I’m not sure how many times I’ve told you that but I will keep repeating it over and over again!

Why is it worth it?

The principles of healthy nutrition emphasize that we should eat meals every 3-4 hours, and the first of them, i.e. breakfast should be within 1 hour of waking up. Why? A morning meal will give us strength, stimulate the body to act and accelerate metabolism.

It’s a must for everyone! Let me repeat: everyone! Even for those who are on a diet. Studies show that people who don’t eat breakfast have a higher risk of being overweight or obese. Therefore, if you are struggling with extra kilos – start eating breakfast!

What’s more, according to many studies, starting the day with breakfast will improve learning skills, remembering, and concentration. So take care not only about yourself, but also about your children. Scientific studies show that students who don’t eat their morning meal are more irritable, have a worse feeling of well-being and complain of headaches. What’s more, they also have worse academic performance.

Another point is that people who eat breakfast daily have a significantly lower risk of developing metabolic syndrome, type 2 diabetes, obesity and hypertension than people who have breakfast less frequently (0-3 times a week).

Theory and practice…

I know what you will say now – it’s easier said than done… During the first week you get up early to get your breakfast ready, but over time these few minutes of extra sleep is more valuable than a nutritious meal for “good morning”. What if you prepared this meal in the evening? I often do it myself – knowing that there will be a lot of duties in the morning. When Klara falls asleep, I sneak into the kitchen to soak some oats and leave it overnight in the morning will be waiting for me ready to eat 🙂

Monotony

Another problem related to breakfasts is monotony. But I can help you with that 🙂 Oatmeal, millet, omelettes, scrambled eggs, pancakes or fritters. There’s something for everyone! And there is one rule – it should be simple, fast, pleasant and … healthy of course.

And if you are out of time, you can always reach for pudding from Foods by Ann. Just like me today 🙂 And that’s exactly what you see in the pictures.

And on my blog a large collection of breakfast proposals have already gathered, so be sure to take a look HERE.

The Main Rule

Remember, however, that only one rule invariably works – there is no one good diet for everyone, just as there is no good suggestion for a perfect breakfast. What works best for me now, will not necessarily be that good for each of you. Therefore, experiment, cook and try, and I believe that you will be able to find your perfect breakfast 🙂

BREAKFAST CHALLENGE!

I would like to support you and help you learn healthy eating habits. Both you and your little ones – after all, we are their role models, let’s not forget that.
