Soup – an Essential Meal for Autumn Evenings

Any soup fans here? It’s definitely a good idea to incorporate nutritious soups into your menu, especially now in the autumn and winter seasons. A bowl of hot soup will help you warm up, satisfy hunger, and at the same time provide essential vitamins and minerals. You can have it as a nutritious snack, lunch or dinner.

You can use your favorite vegetables to prepare your soups and thus include even more of them in your daily menu. What’s more, soups save your precious time – just boil all the ingredients in broth or water and add spices. If you prepare a large amount, you’ll have a ready-made dish for the next few days that you can reheat whenever you feel hungry (soup is a much better choice than processed sweets or other unhealthy snacks that we often have when we’re too busy to cook). Do not forget to add some healthy fats (oil, seeds or nuts). Homemade croutons prepared from good-quality bread can also be a tasty topping (stale bread is perfect here and this way nothing goes to waste in your kitchen). What else can you add? Kale or beetroot crisps, roasted chickpeas with spices, and many more. Just check what’s left in the fridge and experiment!
